Yet even there, he made a declaration of trust: my times are in your hands. That is not the language of a man who had everything figured out. That is the language of a man who had learned that God’s hands are the safest place for every season of his story.
Comparison is one of the quietest thieves in the Christian life. It does not announce itself. It simply sits beside you while you watch a friend get married, receive a promotion, or step into a calling you have been praying towards for years. And slowly, without you noticing, it begins to whisper that you are somehow behind — that God has been more generous with someone else’s timeline than with yours. But comparison robs you of the present-tense grace that God has placed specifically within your own season. The gifts He is growing in you right now, the character He is forming in this quiet chapter — none of that is wasted, and none of it is late.
